Make a change. Don’t delay. Do it now.

Make a change. Don’t delay. Do it now.

Do it Now.

Make a change. Don’t delay. Do it now.

It’s September and it’s time to take inventory, to review goals and make a change.

Did you know that September is the second most important month for change? Every year, we begin with a party to welcome the new year. It’s filled with family and friends and a blank calendar before us. The new year is always met with some fear or trepidation but more importantly, opportunity. It’s a new chance. A new beginning. A fresh start.

Did you know that September is the second most important month for change?

So as summer comes to an end, we face a similar road before us. Some of the partying of the summer is finally over. We pack up our bags and set sail a course that we take us through the end of the year.

For college students, it’s a literal packing of the bags and moving to school to focus on their studies. It’s about spreading wings farther each year.

School students across the US from k-12 too face a new school year, new teachers, subject matter and perhaps a new school. It’s a time to grow up.

Parents, it may be the time to send off a young one on the school bus for the first time and perhaps for the first time in many years, have peace and quiet at home to finish the morning cup of coffee without interruption.

Sports fanatics – it’s the best time of the year with the start or college and pro football. It’s the return of baseball and hockey. And for those who managed to follow your baseball team for 162 games, it may end with playoffs and a bid for a world series visit.

How about the business professional? What are your plans? What are your goals? What do you hope to accomplish before the end of the year? How will you make your yearly quota?

For the business owner, what will you do to impact your business this fall? For those in retail, it’s 4th quarter just a few weeks away when you plan to bring in 30-40% of you business within two months. What final preparations must you make now?

It doesn’t matter where you fit into the matrix of life. There’s something you may need to do this fall. Now is the time to make the change you need to make. Do it now. Don’t delay. Before you know it, those items will be postponed till next year and you’ll let yourself down. You’ll realize you had the ability and didn’t enact on them this very day.

“Never confuse movement with action.”
― Ernest Hemingway

Don’t set things in motion for motion’s sake. Do it with purpose and meaning. Make a change and trust God along the path you take for His Wisdom and guidance. Ask for His strength and assurance. Be brave. Stand strong and be very courageous.

“Never put off till tomorrow what may be done day after tomorrow just as well.”

Finally, in the famous words of Mark Twain, don’t put it off another day, month or year. Get to it now.

Make a change. Don’t delay. Do it now.
