StrategyWhen you start out in business, you get asked the question:

“do you have a business plan?”

Well this isn’t a once and done activity. It falls within a broader category of strategy.

“a plan of action or policy designed to achieve a major or overall aim”

So what’s your strategy to win at the game of business? If you say you don’t have one, this is exactly the first place to begin. If you have a strategy, you must be able to write it down or articulate it to someone else.

A goal for your business should be as simple as this:
You can walk away from your business for 6-12 months and when you come back, it’s doing better than when you first left the business.

To make that happen, you must have a vision (see where you want to be in the future), plan (detailed enough for another person to execute) and action (activity based on the plan set forth).
